A man arrested in connection with the murder of a prostitute whose naked body was found dumped on moorland has been released on bail, police said today.
Victim Vicky Glass, 21, was missing from her home town of Middlesbrough for six weeks before she her body was found by a man walking his dog at a North Yorkshire beauty spot near the village of Danby in November 2000. Police said the 5ft 3in prostitute was drawn into her lifestyle to pay for a drug habit.
The team of detectives working on the case arrested a 47-year-old North Yorkshire man yesterday and he has been released on bail.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said the man was due to report back in six weeks.
