THE school has set up and maintained two twinning projects with a school in Newcastle and one Whetley School, in Bradford.
Each pupil is allocated a partner in the twin school and begin by preparing a few paragraphs about themselves accompanied by an e-mailed photo. A video and autobiography also prepares the pupils for meeting each other.
The exchange with Whetley School began with pupils meeting in Bradford, finding their partners and completing work in the art gallery, before visiting a mosque, playing games in Lister Park and sharing Asian food at the school.
When the pupils from Whetley visited North Yorkshire, they toured Richmond, shared investigative work in Easby Abbey, as well as being greeted in the village hall with a meal prepared by the community, and also took part in classroom projects.
