Division 1

Match of the week in the First Division was between Carlin How 'A' team who were playing hosts to New Marske's A. Andrew Shelley got the home team off to a great start when winning both of his games against Ron Greenwood with scores of 74-14 and 63-26. Richard Sivills then levelled the match at 2 frames each when beating Mark Earl with scores of 71-32 and 40-34.

Tony Zutshi was just pipped at the post in then next game when Gary Forrest beat him by the narrowest of margins by a scoreline of 46-42. In the final game of the match, Forrest stepped up a gear winning easily by 61-16. New Marske were worthy winners on the night by 4-2.

Guisborough Cons. 'A' chalked up an identical 4-2 away result at the hands of Saltburn Cons. 'A' team. League Leaders, Redcar Workies 'A', still remain six points clear when on their travels they beat New Marske 'B' by 5 frames to 1.

Richard Beckham, of the Workies, compiled a 51 break during this match.

Second placed Redcar Lakes 'C' couldn't close the gap but also chalked up a good 5 - 1 away win against Lune Street's A team, during which Dave Beckett, of the Lakes, compiled a 40 break. Redcar Lakes 'B' were held to a draw by Grinkle Park as were Marske Workies 'A' by Redcar Cons. 'A'.

The final match between Guisborough T.A. and Redcar lakes 'A' also ended as a 3-3 tie.

Division 2

Match of the week in Division 2 was between title contenders Ennis Square 'A' who were playing host to bottom placed Saltburn Cons. 'B'. Dave Lead bitter was first to the table for the home team playing Stuart Tait.

The first game was a scrappy affair with Tait coming out on top winning by 49-29.

Tait then turned the screw winning his second convincingly by 68-35. Steve Buckton then levelled the match for the home team when beating Jeff Hudson with scores of 67-27 and 63-13. In a closely contested 5th frame Dave Tait put the away side 3-2 up when beating Ricky Warrior by 60-52.

Warrior dug deep and won the last game by 57-45 therefore levelling the match at 3 frames each.

Redcar Lakes 'D' put a spoke in the wheels of League Leaders Lune Street 'B' when also holding them to a 3-3 tie.

This result allowed second placed Redcar Unionist's 'A' to claw a point back on the Leaders when they chalked up an excellent 4-2 away win against Val's priory.

Title contenders, Carlin How 'B', matched this fete when they beat the Redcar Workies 'B' team by the same scoreline. The Hartley family John, Chris and father Phil were playing once again for the Redcar Literary Institute and were convincing 5-1 winners when playing away to the Redcar Unionist's 'B' team.
