A GROUP dedicated to finding community placements for young people will celebrate its success at an awards ceremony next month.
Millennium Volunteers, which recruits people between 16 to 24 to help at charities, schools, day care centres and other groups, is to reward its members with a party at the Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, on March 15.
Volunteers who have spent up to 200 hours working for the organisation will be presented with certificates, while a group who spent a training day at the Catterick Army base will be addressed by a spokesman from the barracks.
Participants in the scheme are given assistance from Millennium Volunteers workers to find placements which will help them build up skills and experience.
