A MAN who walked free from court after supplying a mother with the drug that killed her has been jailed after breaching the terms of a court order.
Steven Martin, 33, of Headworth Lane, Boldon Colliery, South Tyneside, was sentenced to two years' probation after admitting supplying Amanda Hart, 33, with cocaine.
But, after failing to comply with the order by missing appointments, he was back before Newcastle Crown Court yesterday and was jailed for four months.
Ms Hart was discovered on the floor of her home by her daughter, Carley, after swallowing drugs given to her by Martin.
Carley Hart called the emergency services as Martin desperately tried to revive his partner.
But, when paramedics arrived at the house, in Hedworth Lane, Boldon Colliery, Ms Hart was already dead
