AN Army signaller from County Durham and her boyfriend are taking part in an operation to attract more recruits.
Emma Jones, 22, from Shildon, has returned from Germany with her boyfriend, Corporal Anthony Dawson, 24, from Manchester, to take part in Operation Northern Spirit.
The campaign, which started this week, aims to tell people in the North-East and Yorkshire about the 15,000 jobs in 140 trades that the Army has to offer.
Ms Jones serves in the Royal Corps of Signals with Mr Dawson in Germany, and has also served in Northern Ireland.
During Operation Northern Spirit, a trip to Cyprus will be on offer to ten winners of Army competition days, being held in five locations on Saturday, February 9.
