Byer's Green - The under 11s got back to winning ways with a 4-3 win at City Of Durham.

Durham took an early but Byer's soon equalised though Condron. Then Byer's took the lead after Peart beat the Durham defence with his speed putting Suddes through to score only for Durham to equalise before half time. Early in the second half Byer's took the lead again after Fowler put a ball through for Suddes to score.

This inspired the Byer's team seeing a possible victory in sight only for Durham to equalise late in the game. Byer's dug in yet again and Condron struck a good shot which the keeper parried away leaving Suddes to pick up the pieces and complete his hat trick. Darlington Spraire Lads

With the weather decimating most eleven a side fixtures pride of place this week went to the under tens.

In a top of the table clash against Norton and Stockton Ancients Spraire won 4-1 the goals came from Nathan Wilson (2), Nicky Petch and man of the match Craig Swainston. In the following friendly Spraire won 2-1 goals coming from Jonathan Blewett and Ethan Thompson. In the Cleveland minor league at the same age group Spraire won 2-4 against Skene Park goals coming from Paul Jefferson, Richard Hind, Ben Turnbull and man of the match Christopher Gaffney. At eleven a side Spraire B team at under fourteen continue there push for promotion winning 6-0 against Seaton Carew goals from Martin, McDonald, Jakeway, Alderson and two for Oliver. This took this team to over a hundred league goals this season. At the same age group Spraire Dynamos played a friendly against Darlington Albion winning 7-5 goals from Lancaster (3) Burton, Lowther, and Raine. Man of the match went to keeper Swann who pulled of at least two outstanding saves. At U13 Spraire started slowly against Barnard Castle however Spraire upped there game to win 4-1. Two goals each for Thomas Chandler and James McBride ensured the victory man of the match went to Lewis Raper. At under twelve Spraire lost 6-1 to Riverside Rovers.

Darlington 21st Allstars

DarlingtoN'S season reached the two-thirds stage with a significant number of games postponed. The Under 14s were at home to Hartburn Juniors and after going 1 -0 down in the first half, won 2-1. Darryl Roberts made it 12 for the season with a brace of goals and Kevin Taylor was Man of the Match. The Under 12s were at home to Acklam Steelworks and continued their promotion push with a 3 -2 win. Daniel Fox and Man of the Match Jamie Stokes (2 scored for Allstars. At seven-a-side level, in the Richmondshire League, the Under 9s were at home to Darlington Albion and continued on their merry way with 7-0 and 13-0 wins.

James Humble got seven of the 20 goals scored, Phillip Wake and Josh Phillips each notched

three, Liam Riley and Bradley Simpson two each and Liam Browne, Adam Jackson and Callum Woodstock one each. Men of the Matches were Humble and Riley.

The Under 9 Colts also entertained Albion and almost did as well as the Under 9s, their wins being by the scorelines of 13-0 and 5-0. Jordan Hanratty notched eight in the first game alone, Karl Hewitt four, Philip Park two and Thomas Airey, Shane Campbell, Liam Jarvie and William Whittaker one each. Men of the Matches were Hanratty and Hewitt.

The Under 10s travelled to Hartburn Juniors and after a close first half, conceded a couple of goals on the

break to eventually lose 4-1. Dean Bland scored the goal. Finally at seven-a-side level, again in the Teesside Alliance, the Under 10 Colts were at home to top-of-the-table Eldon Lions and gave a creditable performance, only to

lose 2-0. Dion Sung was Man of the Match. The Under 1 Is continued their topsy-turvy season with a 3 -1 defeat at Marton FC. The team worked hard enough but did not get the breaks. Allstars' scorer was Chris Szoboszali and Man of the Match was Adam Armstrong.

The Under 17s were at home to Grangetown YCC in their penultimate League game and their lack of match practice was in evidence as they went down 3-1. 2-0 down at half-time, an improved display early in the second half brought the scoreline back to

2-1 but a third goal from the visitors effectively killed the game off. Tommy Wright notched his 15th of the season and Fergus Cowan was Man of the Match.

The Under 15s went down 10-5 at North Ormesby, a very strong side who were second in Division 1 before the match. After a difficult first half, Allstars all but matched their opponents in the second half. The goals came from Darren Thompson

(2), Tom, Osbome, Carl Garthwaite and Lewis Moses. Man of the Match was Dave Hardisty.

Darlington Albion

The under 11s in the Richmond & District League were away to Bedale and a first half hat-trick by Philip Caley sent Albion on their way to another three points and extended their lead on top of the league.

As half time loomed Stevie Wason and Callum Tarren made it 5-0 to the Albion.

In the second half, but for some excellant goalkeeping and timely challenges in defence by the home side Albion could have extended their lead early on. Tarren completed his hat-trick, Wason a brace, Chris Farlow adding further and a goal of the game by James Moohan made it 10-0 to the Albion, Man of the match was Philip Caley.

Albion Under nines played away against Barnard Castle. Four good games were played in terrible weather conditions with Albion continuing to improve, games 1 and 3 being particularly close.

Game 1 - Lost 5-4, Game 2 - Lost 7-1, Game 3 - Lost 3-1, Game 4 - Lost 9-0. This week the Under nines played the Allstars. A better all round performance with games 2 and 4 being particularly good. Stuart Curtis in goal for game played especially well making a string of fine saves.
