ORGANISERS of a live music festival are hoping to build on the success of their last event, inviting a wider range of businesses to be a part of the programme.
Richmond Live was extended to two days for the fist time last year and proved an overwhelming success.
Up-and-coming band, Cosmic Rough Riders, and former Mike and the Mechanics, Squeeze and Pretenders member, Paul Carrack, topped the bill, with over 20 local bands and presenters from TFM and Magic 1170 also keeping the crowds entertained.
As many as 10,000 people enjoyed the show on The Batts in the shadow of Richmond Castle.
However, spokesman Mike Jinks says he's hoping to improve the facilities on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3, this year.
"We would like to hear from anyone who thinks they can add to the event," said Mr Jinks.
"We are already talking to some big acts but, ideally, it would also be great to have a few more stalls selling T-shirts, CDs, food and drink.'"
Anyone who would like to be part of the festival can find more information on the internet by visiting www. richmond.org.uk or can contact the organisers by e-mailing liverg.uk
