FORGET Pop Idol - a new project is looking for young people in east Cleveland who want to sing from the rooftops.
Can U Sing It? has been funded by the National Foundation for Youth Music and is part of the CoMusica project, run by the Music Centre in Gateshead and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
The scheme is to be launched tomorrow, from 7pm until 9pm, when 38 young voices will fill Skelton Youth Centre, but is looking for more enthusiastic young performers to join in.
The scheme will be running for the next ten months developing singing and performance skills. Anyone interested should call Jane Cuthbert on (01287) 624438.
