Grants worth between £500 and £1,000 are on offer to voluntary and community groups in the Ripon area.
Applications are being dealt with by Ripon Council for Voluntary Service on behalf of the local community fund.
The grants will be made to organisations who can demonstrate that they meet specific criteria and work in a designated area.
The area includes Ripon itself, villages west of the A1 from Burneston to Minskip, Well, Masham, Grewelthorpe, Kirkby Malzeard, Sawley, Bishop Thornton, Wormald Green, Burton Leonard and Staveley.
