THIRTEEN runners have proved lucky for St Teresa's Hospice, in Darlington.
The athletes, who took part in last year's Great North Run, presented a cheque for £4,788.06 to the charity.
The group included Callum Woodcock, ten, who took part in the junior race, and Ron Murray, running for the 19th time.
Jane Bradshaw, from St Teresa's Hospice, said: "It is an excellent way of fulfilling a personal ambition while raising funds for the hospice."
The charity is keen to encourage others to take part in the 2002 BUPA Great North Run
