SHOPPERS can take a look into the future, thanks to virtual reality.
A week-long exhibition in Middlesbrough's Cleveland Centre depicts the town's old docks, their fall into decay - and plans to give the area a multi-million pound transformation.
Visitors can watch a virtual reality presentation showing what the transformation of the docks into the £36m Middlehaven redevelopment will look like when the last brick is laid, in five to ten years' time.
Regeneration Minister Lord Falconer celebrated the plans with invited guests on site, last week.
Visitors to the exhibition on Monday, when it opened, said they were pleased that an old eyesore was about to disappear.
