A RECYCLING and waste disposal business is to be set up at a farm near Crook.
The owner of Constantine Farm, North Bitchburn, has been given planning permission by Durham County Council to operate a skip hire, recycling and waste transfer business from the farm.
It will take in waste such as soil and minerals from agricultural and engineering businesses for disposal at landfill sites.
The plans were supported by Wear Valley District Council, on condition that the access road was improved.
