Willington Boys - After a long break, the Under-9s returned to action in the Russell Foster short-sided leagues with a 2-0 victory over Redby Whites and a 2-1 defeat to Seaham Red Star Rockets.

Jack Davidson and Jordan Roberts scored for Willington in the first game, Roberts in the second.

Darlington Albion

Ifinal game of the season the Under-9s played two games at home against Richmond.

Scores - Game one: lost 0-7. Game two: lost 0-1. Mark and Steve would like to say how much the team have improved over the season and next training session with be on April 27.

The Under-12s played at home against Thirsk in the Richmond & District League cup semi-final, losing 2-0. Albion man of the match was Luke Stone.

Darlington Spraire Lads and Lasses

At Under 11 Spraire played their last game of the season requiring three points to ensure promotion.

However for the first ten minutes their opponents Kader looked the likeliest winners. Things changed when Martin shot for the keeper to parry to a grateful Ward who opened the scoring for Spraire. This calmed Spraires nerves and Ward soon added to his and Spraires' total, Hickman then added a third and Spraires' promotion dream looked assured.

Before half-time Verity lobbed the keeper for Spraires' fourth. In the second half Coglan was brought down and the resultant penalty was converted by Martin - the final goal of the 6-0 victory came from Coglan.

At Under-14 the A team enjoyed a great 2-1 victory against Guisbrough thanks to two goals from Healey. The B team kept their promotion push alive with a 2-1 victory over Ingelby Barwick, goals coming from Jakeway and Haines.

In mini soccer the Under-10s won 8-0 against Newton Aycliffe. Nathan Wilson getting five with Craig Swainston getting the other three, man of the match went to Nicholas Petch.

In the following friendly Spraire won 4-3 with goals coming from Thomas Smalley and a hat-trick from man of the match Max Edmondsen.

Spraire Lasses Under-11 lost 5-1 to Reyrolls Kestrells the Spraire goal coming from girl of the match Laura Gow.

Crook Town

THE Under-19s are champions of the Northern Youth Alliance League after defeating Selby away 2-0. Paul Freary, Crook Town's prolific goalscorer and Stephen Roberts, scored the goals.

Crook are undefeated in the league having conceded eight goals and scoring 38.

Two more games complete all fixtures in the league then they compete in the Northern Division Cup having to meet Thackley Town and Farsley Celtic at home, dates to be arranged.

The next home game is against Pocklington Town on Sunday, April 7 (2pm)
