ARTS GRANT: Wear Valley Arts, in Crook, has a new grants scheme for groups, organisations, clubs and associations in the district.
The scheme, called Mission To Commission, has been set up to encourage creative projects in the Wear Valley area and develop new work with a professional artist.
Grants are available for up to 75 per cent of the total cost, or a maximum of £500.
The deadline for applications is May 17, and projects must be completed by March 31, next year.
