The Queen's first North-East visit after the official mourning period will be in May.
She will visit the new Metro train extension between Sunderland and Tyneside, and cut the ribbon at the Millennium City complex, Durham, on May 7 and 8. Her visit will also take in Darlington, Seaham, Easington and Blackhall Rocks, in County Durham.
