VISITORS to Minskip village hall at the weekend were sure of a big surprise, as an award-winning artist staged her own teddy bears' picnic.
Angela Ellis, pictured above, who scooped top honours at last year's British Bear Artists' Awards, brought an array of her creations to the village, near Boroughbridge.
The striking display included The One That Got Away, which depicts a fishing bear with rod and line, a host of junk from the river and a crafty cat stealing his only real catch.
The exhibition attracted dozens of visitors and will help to raise money for village hall funds.
