A MOTORCYCLIST from the North-East died after suffering severe head injuries when his 600cc Yamaha Fazer was in collision with a Peugeot 306 car on the A686 Penrith to Alston road in Cumbria.
Amarjit Singh from South Tyneside was taken to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, but died later.
The car driver, a 49-year-old County Durham woman, was unhurt.
