THE NORTH-EAST Assembly and Association of North-East Councils have appointed a new member of their senior management team.
As head of communications, Hilary Knox will be responsible for raising the profile of assembly and association issues, policies and events.
She joins the directorate with ten years' experience at Newcastle Airport, where she was media and corporate affairs manager.
Ms Knox has led communication campaigns at some of the most significant phases in the airport's development and has represented policy positions on a wide range of business and regional issues.
Previously, she worked in a media and PR role at the University of Newcastle and Northern Arts.
