Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle accident at the junction of Kenton Lane and Crossway, Newcastle, at noon yesterday.
A police spokesman said a Ford Mondeo had collided with the back of a stationary Nissan Micra, which was pushed into the back of a waiting bus.
The front seat passenger in the Micra suffered fractured ribs while the driver of the car had suspected whiplash injuries
