Three people have been jointly charged with conspiracy to burgle pubs in the Teesdale area.

Andrena Milligan, 36, from Downfield Street, Glasgow, Francis McIntosh, 40, from Eskford Street, Glasgow, and Thomas McSeveney, from Inverkip Drive, Shotts, Lanarkshire were remanded in custody by Sedgefield magistrates until May 1.

DRILL THEFT: A garage in Whitby Way, Darlington, was burgled overnight on Monday, and a Black & Decker electric drill was taken. During the same time, a shed in Whitby Way was also broken into, but nothing was stolen.

VAN RAIDED: A Fiat Ducato van was broken into in Newquay Close, Harrowgate Farm, Darlington, at the weekend, and a DeWalt dual purpose battery charger and radio was taken.

HOLMES PLAY: Sherlock Holmes: The Last Act will be performed at Darlington Arts Centre, tomorrow, at 8pm. A jazz night is being held at the Arts Centre on Saturday. Spike Robinson and his band will play from 8pm. Tickets are available on (01325) 486555.

WINDOW SMASHED: A golf club was thrown through the window of a Fiat Seicento, causing £120 damage, in Mellanby Crescent, Newton Aycliffe, early on Monday.

CAR SCRATCHED: The offside bodywork of a Toyota Yaris was scratched, causing several hundred pounds worth of damage, at Stead Close, Newton Aycliffe, between 5.20pm and 6.20pm on Monday

SCHOOL ATTACKED: Three windows in Dean Bank Primary School, Ferryhill, were smashed between 6pm on Friday and 7am on Monday.

VEHICLE DAMAGE: About £1,500 worth of damage was caused to a Peugeot 306 in Rectory Row, Sedgefield, when the nearside door panel and roof were scratched between 3.30pm and 3.45pm on Sunday.
