TWO members of the public have been appointed to Derwentside District Council's standards committee.
They are Gerald Corr, of Leadgate, near Consett, and Mark McNally, of Shotley Bridge. Mr Corr worked at Chester-le-Street District Council and Mr McNally worked at Gateshead Council.
The council received 27 applications for the committee. Council officers then drew up a shortlist of four people who were interviewed by the full council.
