The game of the day in the Premier Division is at Middlesbrough, where Guisborough are the visitors.

Guisborough, worthy champions last season, are favourites to retain the title but Boro will be one of the sides likely to press them for their crown.

Middlesbrough captain Danny Evans reports that his line-up is strengthened after losing the first game of the campaign. Richard Storr and Brett Roberts take over from Richard Borwell and Jan Hussain.

Guisborough have Johnny May coming in for Richard Dove, who is unavailable. They were held to a draw in their first match.

Darlington will be keen to make it two successive victories visiting Redcar and they are unchanged hoping for another encouraging performance from new professional Hanif-ur-Rehman, who looked impressive during a lengthy spell last weekend when he claimed four wickets.

Redcar are pleased that Matthew Stokeld is home from the Navy and with Jason Robinson also available, the pair replace Colin Bainbridge and Andrew Wetherall.

Blackhall captain Ben Usher, who believes that Guisborough are the team to beat, aims to go one better this time and clinch the championship. There is a potential worry for the Collierymen, however, in that West Indian Imran Jan may be required for the West Indies A team.

Discussions with the League are in progress as to whether Blackhall will be allowed to appoint a replacement professional should Jan be called up.

"Imran batted very well making his maiden century for the club last Saturday," said skipper Ben Usher, who has Phil Bell coming in for the unavailable Stephen Sargeant at home to Northallerton, who are unchanged.

"We wish him well, but it would be a blow if he had to leave us for a while."

A blow to the chances of Hartlepool, who play Saltburn at Park Drive, is the enforced absence of opening bowler Ian Jackson, who was missed last weekend when Guisborough posted the highest score of the day.

Pool name the same side and their depleted attack will face Tony Bell, who returns to the Saltburn line-up in place of Abby Rashid.

Jimmy Middleton has returned to Darlington RA from Shildon and skipper David Eckels is pleased to pitch him straight into the fray for the visit to Marske.

Talab and Jarvis Ramzan, together with Graham Robinson, line up for Normanby Hall against Thornaby, with cousins Graham and Craig Addison and Martin Brown making way.

Phil Merryweather cannot play for Thornaby and he is replaced by Stuart Moore in Neil Marsden's side which includes Paul Thomas, who was with RA last season.

Richmondshire travel to newly-promoted Wolviston showing a couple of changes.

Wicketkeeper Kevin Forbes takes over from Michael Layfield and Robbie Barker, home from university, is preferred to Jamie Stead, who joins Layfield in the seconds.

Wolviston, the only club without a professional, should be stronger with the inclusion of Mark O'Neill and Geoff Ward who missed last week's Premier League baptism at Saltburn.
