Coxhoe Athletic ended runners-up in the league cup for the second season in a row when a late goal gave Brandon Station a 2-1 win.
Brandon then beat Cockfield 3-0 away to go through to the final of the Subsidiary Cup. Their opponents are Black and Decker, 2-1 victors over Shildon Railway in extra time. Paul Arnott grabbed both for Black and Decker and Tony Young replied.
* A lack of clubs will see no play in the league next season though the league will affiliate to the DFA and it is hoped that sufficient interest will see a start up again in 2003.
