Othe weekend of Saturday/Sunday May 11-12 the club competed at the North-East Track and Field Championships at Gateshead International Stadium at the end of the second day the club had achieved a total of 13 medals and numerous personal best performances.

Khalil Thompson had a splendid weekend in the Under-13 boys age group winning gold medals the 800m and 1500m in 2:28.31 and 4:54.40.

Matthew Lomax running as a first year Under-17 Boys left behind his elder rivals to take the gold medal in the 3000m in a excellent time of 9:22. 58.

David Judge also won the gold medal in the Under-17 Boys Shot Putt with a throw of 12.15 metres. Anthony Brown won gold in the U15 boys Javelin with a throw of 36.03m and also won the silver medal in the shot putt with a throw of 10.04m.

John Burns won the bronze medal when he finished third in the finals of the U15 boys 400m in a time of 58.22. In the Senior Women's 800m Karen Johns took the gold medal in a time of 2:13.37.

Vielde Finn won a double bronze in the Junior Women's 200m and 400m in times of 26.37 and 59. 98, Genuna Brown went one better when she won double silver in the U17 girls 200m and 400m in times of 26.55 and 41.73.

Finally, Natalie Owens finished off the medal tally by winning the bronze medal in the U17 girls 3000m in a time of 10.58.
