CIU League, Crook Belle Vue maintained their unbeaten darts record but only lead the table by one point from Cockton Hill

, who are also unbeaten, but the crunch will come when the teams meet this week at Crook. The Crook side were stretched to beat third placed Byers Green by the odd point, whilst Cockton Hill fared better at home to Willington, who are in fourth place. There were darts maximums for Doug McCarthy, Jeff Sneath and Paul Knighton of Crook Belle Vue, Peter Fox of Byers Green, Tommy Ward of Cockton Hill and two from Gary Taylor of Ferryhill.

Byers Green jumped to the top of the dominoes section after whitewashing the visiting Crook Belle Vue with Willington a point behind. Chilton and Middlestone Moor share third place a point adrift of Willington.

Ferryhill lead the pool section by two points from Crook Belle Vue.

Willington Ladies League

Willington Brewer's Droop, who finished in the wooden spoon spot in the table, pulled off the surprise of the quarter finals of the Dominoes Knock Out Cup when they beat Sunnybrow Brown Trout. The other ties all went according to the form book as the top three teams in the league, Hunwick Joiners Arms, Willington Club A and Willington Market are all through to the semi-finals.

Crook Cup

Crook Spitfire Club came very close to causing an upset in the Second Round of the First Division Cup when they just failed in the decider at Crook Royal Sun A. the home side had pool points from John Howcroft, Ronnie Hope and Barry Barker with the Spitfire levelling through Ronnie Rinaldi, Eddie Phillipson and Gordon Walker. The dominoes were also shared with Kenny Smith, Barry Barker and John Howcroft winning for the Sun and Harry Tait, Dave Sneath and Eddie Phillipson equalising. The decider was on the pool table, where Simon Bowey took the Sun through by beating Gordon Walker 2-0.

In the Second Division Cup Croft Social Club were just edged out by the visiting Crook Coach and Horses B in the decider. The home side had pool wins from Dave Parvin, Malcolm Gibson and Ian Robson with Tom Wills, Andrew Reynolds and Mark Thexton levelling. The dominoes were also shared when Edith Thomspon, Brian Robson and Alison Martindale won for Croft with Wayne Broxson, Michael Bridges and Mark Thexton replied. In the decider Mark Thexton beat Bob Spence.
