POLICE are not treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in a quiet walkway on Wednesday.
At about 6.30pm officers found the body of Michael Bruce, 33, hanging from a tree on the Castle Eden Walkway where it meets the A689 on the Durham/Cleveland border.
He was pronounced him dead at the scene and his body was taken to Bishop Auckland General Hospital.
The coroner has been informed and an inquest on Mr Bruce, of Kesteven Road, Hartlepool, is expected to open in the next few days.
