AN eight-year-old girl was taken to hospital with a broken thigh bone after being hit by a car.
Police believe the girl stepped into the path of a Fiat Punto travelling along Overdale Road, near the junction with Sandringham Road, Park End, Middlesbrough, at 5.40pm on Thursday.
She was taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital.
