Darlington MP Alan Milburn will be the guest speaker at an event to discuss the effectiveness of the town's public services.
The community planning public involvement event takes place at the Dolphin Centre on Friday, from 11am to 4pm.
The event will include an optional planning workshop and presentations from 2pm.
A spokesman for the event, supported by Darlington Borough Council, said: "Public services in Darlington are keen to hear the views of local residents and service users.
"I hope people take this opportunity to meet with staff from a wide variety of public and voluntary organisations.
"They can visit and discuss our displays, help us plan for the future and hear about new initiatives directly from the town's MP."
