A NEW scheme which allows small businesses to dispose of their waste more easily has been developed in the Catterick Garrison area.
From next Monday, commercial waste will be accepted, on a trial basis, at the landfill site off Gatherley Road, where a container will be provided near the weighbridge office.
The county's director of environmental services, Mike Moore, said: "A need for facilities for the small commercial operators who use small vans or even their own cars has been identified in the Richmondshire area.
"Unfortunately traders are unable to use the skips at the civic amenity site as they are for householders only."
