Loftus continue to lead the table and they defeated Paragonians by ten wickets after restricting the hosts to 105 all out.

Hughes top scored with an unbeaten 38 for Paragonians and in the Loftus attack Smithies took four wickets for 20 runs, Whitwell four for 49 and Morrison two for 21. The Loftus openers had no difficulty reaching the target without losing a wicket despite Paragonians utilising seven bowlers in their attack. Hinderwell are second just three points behind Loftus and they had six wickets in hand defeating Boosbeck. Despite a good innings of 40 by Passmore, Boosbeck totalled 85 all out. Spenceley (25) and Jewel (20) gave the Hinderwell reply a sound start and victory was achieved for the loss of four wickets, two of them to Danes at a cost of 20 runs.

Dormans defeated Ormesby Hall by 76 runs when they totalled 180 for nine batting first. Patton opened with 28 and Grosvenor made 25, but it was Ramzan who gave the innings momentum with 41 when he batted late in the order. A total of 180 for nine was reached and in the Ormesby Hall attack Peacock returned figures of three for 53, McCabe two for 60 and Poole two for 29. Responding Ormesby Hall were dismissed for 104 and man of the match Ramzan captured seven wickets for a meagre 33 runs. He was assisted by Hussain with 2/18.

Norton made a respectable 161 for four but still lost against Jack Hadfield Sports. When they made first use of the wicket Norton had Watson (41) and Pritchard (43) in good form, but when Pearce opened with 58 and was joined by Mustafa (50) in a productive second wicket partnership, Hadfield were well on their way to victory. The introduction of Brooks and Rigg into the attack, however, changed the course of the innings and when Brooks returned four for 33 and his colleague three for 48 Jack Hadfield Sports had to fight for a two wickets success.

The Merlin managed only 69 before losing by seven wickets to Normanby Parklands. Walker claimed five wickets for 21 runs and Frewin three for 35 when The Merlin batted first and responding Normanby Parklands were grateful for a first wicket partnership between McNulty who contributed 15 and McNicholson with 23.

Skelton Castle went down by one wicket when they visited Staithes. Making first use of the crease Skelton Castle finished with 137 for eight which included 44 by opening batsman Wilkinson. Staithes had to work hard for a one wicket victory. Horn gave the innings a good start making 37 but thereafter the batsmen found runs difficult to come by. However, 25 extras enabled Staithes to squeeze home despite the bowling efforts of Boardman with three for 36 and Stubbs whose three wickets were taken at a cost of 26 runs.

In division two Brotton are still ahead and they met Dormanstown. Dormanstown were pegged to 113 for nine which included 32 by Johnson.Dormanstown fared better in Saturday's programme defeating New Marske by nine wickets after bowling out their visitors for 40. Charlie Hatch took five wickets for 14 runs in 13 overs, six of which were maidens, Anthony Dowson weighed in with three for 16 from nine overs and Tony Lloyd took the other two wickets for three runs in six overs. Dormanstown coasted home losing one wicket thanks to no fewer than 19 extras.

Ormesby Hall reached 123 all out before dismissing Loftus for 112 to win by 11 runs.

Cowpen Bewley had almost 100 runs to spare defeating Skelton Castle after making 176 for five declared. Manners carried his bat for 73 and Smith scored 33 while Havert also struck form contributing 29 runs. Three of the five wickets to fall were taken by Powell for 41 runs.

When they went into bat Skelton Castle lost their openers for a combined total of ten runs, but McCabe (25) and Tait (24) stemmed the flood, however, following their dismissals the innings closed on 79 with Barlow, Manners and Carr all taking a couple of wickets for Cowpen Bewley.
