ARMY DAYS: The 68th Regiment Display Team which recreates the activities of the DLI during the Napoleonic Wars will stage a living history camp at Beamish Museum next weekend.

FUN DAY: Pelton Fell War Memorial Park is staging a funday from 11am to 1.30pm on Wednesday.

SLAPSTICK COMEDY: A slapstick day is being presented by Snapshot Productions from 1pm to 3pm at the Riverside next Saturday.

MISSION CASH: A total of £230 was raised at the coffee morning held by the Methodist Circuit Home Missions appeal.

COFFEE AND CAKE: A coffee morning and cake stall is being held by Christchurch in Lumley at 10am next Saturday, in the Community Centre.

CARERS' MEETING: The New Carers Group of the Alzheimer's Society are meeting in their Bullion Road Branch Office from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday.

EXOTIC DANCE: A five-week beginners course on Middle East Folk Dance, including Egyptian belly dancing, will start on Friday in the Chester-le-Street Community Centre, on Newcastle Bank. Sessions last from 2.45pm to 4pm. The course costs £15.

SURVEY MEETING: Year five pupils of Portobello Primary School have been to Wark-worth to conduct a village survey and meet the pen-pals from Warkworth Church of England First School.
