SUNNYDALE Leisure Centre's bowling green, in Shildon, is holding an open day to show off its £15,000 laser-levelled green.
The launch ceremony, which is open to everyone, will take place on Friday, August 2, at 10am, followed by a speech from Councillor Terry Ward, Sedgefield Borough Council's lead member for culture and recreation, and a bowling demonstration.
People, in both adult and junior categories, will be able to join the bowling club, and the public can also use the facilities. Lessons and guidance will be available for those who have not played and the green will have wheelchair-access.
