The club hosted a tournament for players born 1986 or later at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre. As Sedgefield are generally so strong they sometimes put in two teams in some competitions, one under the banner of Woodham, which they did in this tournament.
Also in the tournament were Carlisle, Scottish Champions Warrender and Irish Champions Half Moon from Dublin. Despite both Sedgefield and Woodham being under-strength due to swimming galas and holidays they did well to lose by only one goal each to tournament winners Warrender from Edinburgh. Sedgefield defeated Half Moon and Carlisle to finish second. Woodham and Sedgefield drew 4-4.
Player of the tournament for Sedgefield was GB Squad member Scott Carpenter. The outstanding player for Woodham was Daniel Kellett.
