Heighington still lead division A following their ten-wicket victory over Cockerton, who were dismissed in 31.1 overs for just 51 runs last Saturday.

Rob Waite sent down ten overs, seven of them maidens, and conceded only five runs in taking four wickets. Tony Howard returned 3-17 from 5.1 overs, John Boocock had 2-23 in 14 overs and Alex Lineton claimed the remaining wicket for six runs during his two-over spell.

Heighington then required just 11.3 overs to reach their target as Gary Campbell carried his bat for 24 and Darren Reiley finished unbeaten with 26.

Rockcliffe Park also enjoyed a big win over Spennymoor, who used just two bowlers in their attack. Rockcliffe Park realised 251-2 as Fiddel scored 68 before being run out. His opening partner Wheeler added 46 before Hart (52no) and Garbutt (60no) former a productive, unbroken partnership for the third wicket. Spennymoor were then restricted to 123-6.

Raby Castle had just 11 runs to spare when entertaining Middleton St George. The home side ended on 166-6, mainly as a result of the efforts of openers Poole (30) and West, who made 55. McKenna returned 3-67 and Rogers 3-50 for Middleton St George.

The visitors then made a good start through a second-wicket stand between Rogers (54) and Ayup (53no), but at stumps the score was only 155-8. Dent captured 3-7 and Jones took 3-50 for Raby Castle.

Eryholme were dismissed for just 82 at Barningham, for whom McGarr had 6-35 and French 3-36.

Batting first, Barningham were just three runs short of 200 having lost just five wickets when the overs expired. They were well served by May, with an unbeaten 78, and opener Walker, who contributed 55. Mullins scored 30 before being run out.

Witton le Wear lost just four wickets in overtaking the Ingleton total of 100. Storey was their top scorer with an undefeated 29 and Slater added 27 not out as the pair produced an unbroken partnership for the fifth wicket after four wickets had fallen cheaply.

Elgie had made 40 for Ingleton, but the innings just reached three figures as Nelson claimed 6-36.

There was no play in the game at Barton because Aldbrough St John conceded the match. Barton were awarded three points.

Haughton lead division B and they enjoyed a nine-wicket success at Middleton in Teesdale, who were bowled out for just 59 when the wickets were shared by Gill, Wilkinson, McCarthy and Edwards.

Haughton quickly scored the necessary runs as McGuire and Barker were involved in an unbroken second-wicket stand.

Catterick Village posted 216-4 before restricting King James to 73 all out. Carter (87), Coultish (37) and Oselton (42) were all in good form, as was Gailey, who made an unbeaten 30.

King James struggled for runs after the dismissal of Davidson for 29 and Oselton captured 5-20.

East Cowton had just one ball to spare in defeating Heighington. Faced with a target of 126, they scraped home with their last pair at the wicket. Alistair Wilkin, who went in at No 10, was the match-winner, hitting one six and four boundaries in an unbeaten 32 when all seemed lost. Opener Andrew Raw struck four fours scoring 30.

Heighington were all out in 31.2 overs for 125, which included an unbeaten 58 by Hodgson, with no fewer than ten boundaries. Raw sent down 16 overs, returning 4-44, and Andrew Whitfield had 3-30 in ten overs.

Dales reached 146-7 in their home game against Brompton on Swale, who were all out for 95.

Winter (26), Lawson (28) and Bowers (30) were the principal scorers for Dales, while Raw took 4-57 for Brompton.

Hutchinson then took 7-37 as Brompton struggled for runs, with only McGough (32) putting a score together.

Lands had 48 runs to spare in their home game with Cliffe. Elstob (51) and Elliott (25no) took them to 157-7, with Adamson taking 3-27 and Bowes 2-49 for Cliffe. Little also made a good contribution of 28.

Cliffe were then all out for 109, which included 38 by Rodgerson. Braithwaite added 28 in mid-innings, but Little took 3-20 and Dalton 3-24.

In division C, Weaver hit a splendid unbeaten 122 when Barton totalled 247-1 against Aldbrough St John. Kelly (60) and Bell (33no) were also in form for Barton.

Incredibly, Aldbrough St John replied with 241-5, losing by just six runs. Lewis almost claimed the points for Aldbrough when he hit a magnificent 174 not out.

Nixon (38) led Barningham to 147-9, with Walton taking 3-53, before Cliffe responded with 104 all out. Banks was the Barningham match-winner with the ball, capturing 6-40.

Trimdon Colliery and Deaf Hill easily defeated Cockerton after realising 192-9, which included 62 by Tinkler. Dale returned 6-29 and Carroll 3-56 for Cockerton, who responded with 146-7. Dale was also in good form with the bat, finishing unbeaten on 50, while Craggs took 3-18.

Haughton had 19 runs in hand over Raby Castle after they totalled 154-6, with Souter scoring 40 and Cull 31. Walker, with 4-81, was the most productive bowler for Raby Castle, who were dismissed for 135 when they replied. Gowland top-scored with 32 as Pritchard claimed 4-43.

Lands managed just 64, with Burton taking 4-21, when they played Spennithorne and Harmby, who had posted 187-6, which included 47 not out by Clarkson and 48 from Burton.

Swanwick (69) and Alenby (47) gave the Rockcliffe Park innings a good send off before Edwards contributed 39 to a total of 233-9 against Trimdon CCA, who were dismissed for 82. Gofton scored 50 of Trimdon's runs, while Edwards claimed 4-33
