A COMPANY with offices in York has been taken over in a deal worth more than £2m.
XKO Group, provider of managed IT services and software, has announced its acquisition of Aran, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) vendor, for £2.42m.
Aran also has offices in Birmingham and Burnham, in Buckinghamshire, which will help position XKO as one of the leading ERP solutions providers in the North and the UK.
The deal adds to XKO's existing expertise in a number of sectors, including manufacturing; building and construction; food and drink; and travel and leisure.
It also provides XKO with a large installed customer base more than 2,000-strong, and will also extend its current product range, including the development of a new Windows format product set.
Simon Beart, XKO chief executive, said it may lead to more IT vacancies in the group.
