SUMMER activities at a countryside venue are proving to be a big draw.

Bookings have flooded in for sessions at Summerhill, a 100-acre site in Hartlepool.

Tickets are still available for some events, including a session on the Trim Trail, a 2km route featuring nine pieces of work-out apparatus.

A rope challenge is also available for people aged 12 and over on Sunday, August 11, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

The session, which will be supervised, costs £3.50 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Activities ranging from archery to archaeology have been among the programme of events running from the beginning of July to the end of this month.

Summerhill manager Tony Davison said: "We felt we had put together an imaginative and interesting programme of events which would prove popular with people of all ages, but the response has still amazed us."
