THE body of a man has been found on a piece of secluded farmland.

Keith Keenan went missing after discharging himself from the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton, on Sunday July 21.

The body of the 41-year-old from Thornaby was discovered by a member of the public in a secluded area of farmland off Blakeston Lane in Norton.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who uses the area near the beck on the land, between Norton and Thorpe Thewles, for swimming or fishing to get in touch.

Despite the fact the land is private, which may prevent people from coming forward, police have said trespassing is not an issue.

A post mortem has been carried out and there is no evidence of a crime having been committed.

Police are now awaiting the results of forensic tests to establish the cause of death.

Anyone with any information or sightings of Mr Keenan since 4pm on July 21 is asked to call Stockton Police on (01642) 302226.

He is described as 5ft 8in tall, slim, with shaved hair, a ginger moustache and was wearing a dark blue fleece jacket, and blue track-suit bottoms. He had tattoos on both arms - one of which reads Susan.
