A NORTH-EAST mechanical and electric company has completed a £60,000 contract to work on a major extension programme at the Deep Blue Dive Centre in Tynemouth.
The Property Maintenance Division of Norstead, of Killingworth, was appointed to add a second storey to the premises and extend the ground floor to incorporate a new "wet" store.
The extension programme has seen the centre double in size and will allow it to expand its retail space and training facilities.
Norstead also provided full design and structural calculations and removed the existing asbestos roof. It was also in charge of the installation of a central heating system, lighting, plumbing and fire alarms.
The Deep Blue Dive Centre is now one of the largest retail and training centres in the country.
