TWO inseparable canines are in need of a new home with an active family.

Nine-month-old Tess and Misty are sisters. They were taken in by the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League after their owner became ill.

The dogs are house-trained, spayed labrador crosses which have a lot of energy.

They were rescued by the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League at just ten weeks old and rehomed.

The dogs are accustomed to living in a good home, and Pauline Wilson, from the support league, said they were not happy in kennels.

She said: "They need a lot of love and attention and a good home. They have been in kennels for a week, but they are not settling very well. The problem is we need to rehome them together, because they are absolutely devoted to each other and have never been separated. They could do with a family who pull their wellies on at the weekends and go for walks on the moors. It would be a joy to see them go to a home like that. They are absolutely lovely dogs and it is just heartbreaking to see them without a home."
