TWO students from a Darlington school have taken part in a special event at Middlesbrough Football Club.
Naomi Rees and Chris Wilson, both 14 and students at Haughton Community School, were selected to take part in the Boro Boss Project.
The pilot project was run by Michael Glenn and Rob Lake, of the Willie Maddren Centre, and was funded by the Gifted and Talented strand of the Excellence in Cities scheme.
Its aim was to give the youngsters experience of a variety of jobs at the BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium, including promotions and catering. Haughton's assistant headteacher, Sue Richardson, said: "Naomi and Chris did extremely well to be chosen for this project - the standard of applications was very high.
"We are delighted that two of the 15 students on the project came from Haughton Community School."
