COURSES galore are on offer in Hartlepool next month.

Adult education bosses have put on more than 50 different types of course, ranging from learning to play the guitar to digital photography.

Anyone over the age of 16 can sign up for a course, many of which will lead to useful qualifications.

The cost of vocational and non-vocational courses is £75 a year - £6 up on last year - while leisure course cost £29 per term, which represents a £4 increase.

Maggie Heaps, Hartlepool Borough Council's adult education co-ordinator, said: "We are introducing several new venues across the town, and most of the classes are suitable for beginners. We do provide a friendly environment with expert tutors and state-of-the-art facilities."

An exhibition will be held in the central square of the Middleton Grange shopping centre on August 15 and 16 where anyone interested will be able to find out more of what is on offer.

Later this month a leaflet, giving full details, will be sent to all homes in Hartlepool.
