PLANS to make alterations to a house in Hurworth Place have been approved despite concern about the placing of a fence.
Sandra John-Thomas, of Fox Close, applied to Darlington Borough Council for permission to install a dormer window at the back of her home, build a side extension and a replace a conservatory.
Members of the council's planning applications committee were concerned about the positioning of a fence they heard had been moved towards the pavement, and wondered where the fence would be placed when the extension was added.
Planning officers said the fence had been legally moved and a condition of the permission was that details of the fence must be approved by the authority before work began on the changes.
