AN artist's drawing of a proposed new home for Darlington's Sure Start project has been released.
Darlington Borough Council's planning committee is expected to send the proposals for the building, in the McNay Street car park at Darlington Railway Centre and Museum to the Government Office North-East for approval next month.
The two-storey building would reflect the surrounding architecture of the museum and the houses on McNay Street. Inside, there will be meeting rooms, offices and a nursery.
With up to 15 office staff expected to occupy the building, there will also be car parking spaces for ten to 15 people.
The site is 560 sq m, and the scheme is expected to be passed to Government Office North-East at the committee's September 11 meeting.
