A WEBSITE for young train enthusiasts which was developed with the help of the National Railway Museum in York is to go on-line.
The interactive website www.trakkies.co.uk is aimed at youngsters aged between seven and 11 who have a passion for the railways.
Supported by train company Arriva Trains Northern, the website contains information about all aspects of the rail network.
Youngsters can find out about the longest and fastest railways in the world and design a train of the future to be posted on the site.
A virtual train station - complete with barking dog and Tannoy announcements - also includes quizzes, crosswords and pictures to colour in.
