The rearranged fixture at Byers Green, where Ferryhill were the visitors had major implications on the three section tables.
Ferryhill's odd point win at darts with points from Lee Richardson, Kenny Nicholson, Phil Nixon and Roy Brown edged out the home points from Paul Walton, Malcolm McDonald and Barry Chapman and left the home side's Championship hopes severely dented.
Ferryhill's pool victory for the loss of only one point strengthened their hopes of landing another Championship success. Gary Slater took the Green's lone point, whilst Gary Taylor, Joe Wray, Steve Burnside and Steve Wray won for the visitors.
Byers Green held on to the top spot in the dominoes section when they came through with an odd point victory.

The new season begins on Thursday, August 15 with the following fixtures for both darts and dominoes. Willington Cottles v Willington Lion and Unicorn; Willington Club A v Hunwick Joiners Arms; Willington Black Horse A v Willington Black Horse B; Willington Burn v Willington Club B; Sunnybrow Brown Trout v Willington Market.
