The weather caused the cancellation of several games in the double weekend programme.

Kildale managed to stage their fixture with Hutton Rudby on Saturday and were rewarded with a six-wicket victory. Although Pugh and Alexander both scored 30 and Swailes 24, Hutton Rudby managed only 96-8 as Dan Doughty took 3-40 and Brooks 4-22.

Replying, Kildale made an indifferent start but Corcoran held the innings together with an unbeaten 39 and 23 from Dan Doughty earned victory for the loss of just four wickets. Coombes claimed three of the wickets for 41 runs.

In a re-arranged fixture, Crathorne had 83 runs in hand of Chopgate. Paul Mooney scored 38 and his opening partner Chris Marshall carried his bat for 64 with five boundaries, to give the Crathorne innings a good send-off.

The momemtum was maintained by Charlie Heep who struck no fewer than four sixes and five boundaries in 75 and Crathorne finished with 201-2 on the board from 40 overs.

Although Richard Holmes batted well for Chopgate contributing 38, the innings stuttered to 118-9 as John Bruce claimed figures of 3-47 from 14 overs and Barnie Heep captured three wickets for 11 runs in five overs.

In Sunday's programme, Stafford Place defeated Kildale by eight wickets following a low-scoring match. Batting first, Kildale were all out for 65 with Mally Graves taking 6-37 from 15.3 overs and Smith 4-22 in 16 overs.

Responding, Stafford Place lost just two wickets as Mark Lawrence ended undefeated with 33.

Bottom-of-the-table Ingleby Greenhow were all out for 50 when they hosted Swainby. Alan Clemmitt returned the outstanding figures of 6-30 and James Dennis had 4-20.

When they batted first, Swainby posted 108-9 which included 42 by Mark Kerr while in the Ingleby Greenhow attack, Michael Fawcett took 4-40 and Graeme Ridsdale 3-24.
