CIU League: Crook Belle Vue moved eight points clear at the top of the darts section following their four points win at Crowtrees.

There are only two matches left but the Crook side have to face the third placed Byers Green at home and the second placed Cockton Hill away.

It was a very good week for straight shooting as Alan Clarkson of Byers Green hit two maximums and finished in 11 darts, Gary Galloway of Crowtrees hit two maximums, Gordon Dodds of Crook Belle Vue hit two maximums and Roy Brown of Ferryhill hit a maximum and finished on 130. Jeff Sneath of Crook Belle Vue made the best check-out of the week with 1154, whilst there were single maximums from Paul Knighton of Crook Belle Vue, Paul Morris of the Prospect, Peter Boucher of Newfield and Gary Taylor of Ferryhill.

Chilton took over the top spot in the dominoes section with a three points win at Ferryhill, whilst former leaders, Byers Green went down by the odd point at home to Willington. This leaves Chilton two points clear of the Green with Willington a further two points adrift but with an extra match played.

Ferryhill went four points clear of Crook Belle Vue in the pool section after the Crook team only took one point on their visit to Crowtrees. Cockton Hill separate the two teams as they lead Crook by one point.

Willington Ladies League

Both Willington Club teams made a god start in the darts section when the A team beat the visiting Hunwick Joiners Arms for the loss of only two points whilst the B team dropped three points on their visit to Willington Burn. The difference came in the dominoes section where both the Club teams were beaten by the odd point.

Sunnybrow Brown Trout made the best start of the new season when they only dropped one darts point to the visiting Willington Market and also won the dominoes by the odd point.
