The Foster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League met the Federation Durham Special Senior League three times at Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18 levels in the Justsport Inter-League Trophy.

In the first game the Durham league defeated their opponents by six wickets in the U13 fixture. Dias took three wickets for eight runs and Quinn three for 11 when the N and T were bowled out for just 62 before Walker carried his bat leaving the Durham League two a six wickets success.

In the Under-15 game played at Blaydon, however, it was the N and T that came out on top.

When they made first use of the wicket the visitors finished with 136 all out which included 46 by the South Shields youngster Michael Dunn who recorded nine boundaries. Philip Bates bowled a good end for the N and T and the Ryton player ended with figures for four for 36 from seven overs. Burnopfield's Lee Stoneman had three for 15 in his 6.4 overs and Stuart McPhail of Lanchester claimed a couple of wickets for 16 runs in seven overs.

Responding the N and T lost seven wickets but were never in danger as McPhail completed a good game by hitting four boundaries in an unbeaten 41. Robert Scorer sent down seven overs in the Durham attack taking five wickets for just 26 runs.

In the Under-18 game the Durham league finished six wickets winners with almost 13 overs to spare. Faced with a target of 130 they were indebted to South Hettons Paul Riddle who recorded eight boundaries in an unbeaten 55 scored from 77 balls. David Maughan of South Shields contributed 24 with four fours and in the N and T attack Annfield Plain's Khan took three of the four wickets to fall for 25 runs in five overs.

When they made first use of the wicket the N and T league totalled 129 with Ryan McVittie of Burnopfield hitting one six and seven boundaries in 43 from 75 deliveries. Johnny Wightman of South Shields sent down eight overs in the Durham attack capturing six wickets for a meagre 17 runs and his club colleague Maughan had two for 19 from eight overs.
