An 18-year-old from Ripon was killed yesterday when his car crossed the carriageway of the A59 on the outskirts of York and collided with a lorry.
The Vauxhall Astra then rebounded back into its correct lane and collided with a Ford Orien.
The woman driving the Ford and her son were treated in hospital after the crash at 11.15am yesterday, which left the road closed for five hours.
